Nothing complicated

• walking boots (good tread on sole)

• waterproof coat or jacket (this means waterproof NOT showerproof)

• fleece jacket or (woollen) jumper

• woolly or fleece hat

• gloves

• whistle (for emergencies, should be on a lanyard)
